Day 8 of 12

Flat back, flat leg floor press: x3@8-9
135x10x2
185x5
225x5
275x3@7
315x3@8 Flat leg Pr.
325x3@9
275x3x2@7,7.5

Reverse band press: x3@8-9
315x3@7
365x3@8
405x3@8.5
405x3@9
365x3@8 All paused.

DB shoulder press
100's x 10@9

Side laterals and rear delt superset
40's x 10,10

Decent day today. I am going to stay with flat leg press from here on. I cant go back and forth because it is hard to compare my lifts to see if i am getting pr's. I went in for O.T today again (I am a slut) so I was forced to train after working for 12. Typical bench day for me.... crap.

Bench is looking good man, don't sweat it to much...you're progressing, that's all that matters.

When's your next CPU meet?

You should come watch Nationals, or maybe Westerns this year?

I would love to Jon, but I am taking care of some monster bills for this wedding in April, otherwise I would be a lot more active in the sport right now. Soon though.

Volume block
Day 9 of 12

Equipped Squat: x3@8-9
225x3x2 warmup
315x3
405x2@7
495x1@8
add Loooose squat suit
495x1-No depth
535x1@8
550x1@8
585x1@8.5 Not much support in suit.
615x1@9
585x2@8.5

7" deficit deadlift: +90C x3@8-9
225x3@7
315x3@7.5
405x3@8
455x3@8.5
405x3x2@8,8

Squats- First time putting on my squat suit in years. I remember why I hate it now. Even with a loose suit I still had a hard time getting depth, and blew blood vessels in my face. I look like I have some crazy disease. Hah anyways the weight wasnt overly heavy, but I cant raw squat 615 so it was pretty heavy with a loose suit on. I am looking into getting a new one soon.

Deficits- I like this excercise alot from the 7" position. Adding the chains was a good touch. One of the main reasons I like this excercise is that when i pull off of the floor after doing these, it feels like the bar is at my kneecaps. Gets you mentally confident for pulls, not too mentio....... HEY my new deadlift suit just showed up. CHRISTMAS TIME CAME EARLY. Just got my inzer fusion in. I will have to try this bad boy out in a few days.

SLDL
405X5@8
Out of time. Gotta call it after one set.

Deadlifts: Pretty pumped that I have been making constant gains for months on these. Just gotta have a day like this on the intensity cycle. Over 700 is in the near future.

Squats: More Pr's. Felt really light on my back and my hips are starting to generate some good pop off of the dead position on the bottom. I lift my legs while sitting on the bench to remove stretch reflex.

I had 2 double buffalo burgers for dinner. That should be enough protein to get me kicked out of the bedroom tonight. Lisa got so mad the other night that she sprayed my ass with an aerosol can while I was sleeping. I AM A KEEPER!

You are definitely on your way to a mid 700's pull in a suit

I hope so man. That is the main training goal right now, 751 pounds. That would be a Canadian record.I hit the Jr CDN record raw at 676 a few years back but got two reds on it. Ever since then I have been gunning for the open record since I am no longer a junior. If I can get up to 760 then that will be the biggest pull out of any weight class. So far so good.

Volume cycle 3
Day 12 of 12

225x3@7
275x3@7
315x3@8 Pr on RPE
335x3@9 Pr!
315x3x2@8,8

3 board press: x3@8-9
315x3@7
345x3@8
365x3@8.5 Good Pr for me.
385x2@9 Wanted 3 but stayed in the right RPE range.
345x3x2@8,8

Hammerstrength Shoulder machine
130x5@7
180x8@7.5
270x5@9 Pr
240x8@9

Side delts
40's x 12,10

Rear delt band pull aparts
Doubled reds x15,15,12.

DONE!

Flat back floor press: A few weeks ago I was at 315x3@10 with legs down, so I have made some good gains on this. Wierd that bench has been stuck forever and now it is moving alot.

3 board: These went well. I had trouble lifting it off myself and balancing the board. Board wanted to slide towards my face. First time handling 385 so I good with that.

Got a Pr on the hammerstrength machine. I have used dumbbells for weeks so I mixed it up a bit.

Glad that the volume section is done. I have been eagerly awaiting the intensity part of this.

Intensity cycle 3
Day 1 of 12

No Belt, No wraps
Squats: +200+B x1@9-10

225x5
315x1@7
365x1@7
405x1@8 Easy 8
460x1@8.5 20 pound pr!
500x1@9.25 60 pound pr!! This was a goal I had set to accomplish in a few months.
455x1@8.5

500 pound squat video: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=iHrI5R3ZGnk&feature=channel_page

7" Deficit deads:x1@9-10
405x1@7
500x1@Easy 8
550x1@9 Pr!
600x1@9.5 Huge Pr! http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZIEBZHSgXE&feature=channel_page
550x1@9

Close grip reverse band press:x1@9-10 First time doing these.
135x5x2
225x5
315x1@8
Add bands
315x1@7
365x1@8
405x1@9
430x1@10
405x1@9 Paused.

Front squats
225x5
275x5

Couldn't really ask for a better start to this intensity cycle. I smashed all previous lifts I had by a large ammount, and there is still some  power left in the tank for the upcoming weeks. Last time I got 440 with strong bands it felt like it was going to crush me. 500 with bands felt heavy but controlled. 600 for deads was awesome. I think I could have doubled the weight. I will find out soon.
