where do i start. first off it wasnt all bad i met some great guys so thats always a good thing.

As for the contest, this was without a doubt the worst show i've ever been too.
Durning the rules briefing is where my day went to ****. Dione informed the athletes that winner had to go to LW pro nationals or she was going to give the card to the next guy. I can't go to that show period so i was pretty done before the conest started. knowing that i just wanted to make things interesting and have fun, this did not happen. Motivation level at this point was very low

First event was supposed to be 200 ibeam 280 sandbag 300keg. ended up being 100lb ibeam (which by the way was a joke) 230 at best sandbag that was more like a keg because it was wrapped in alot of duct tape and very stiff, and maybe a 250 keg but i doubt it. This just turned into a big fat foot race and was a joke.

second event was frame carry. i went to ask pete if we could warm up because everyone wanted to and pete was just going to have us go right to 700lbs frames cold. so i started warm ups. In the process i happened to watch a handfull of guys try to pick the second frame which was loaded to 700 and couldn't get it, i then saw the the weights go to 500 in my opinion because pete didnt want to see guys get killed. if this isnt true and you want to say that the plates didnt fit the second frame then i say you are a piss poo promoter for not testing the equipment before hand. This was a huge slap in the face 500 frame is a joke that belongs in a silver level contest not a Plat+ i though 700 was to light but then to have it change to 500 definetly dropped my motivation even lower.

OH medley was the only thing i was happy about. there were some changes made here too. log was supposed to be 280 300 fixed axle 160 db instead we go 290 log 315 axle from the floor on homemade thing and 170db from what i was told. this was the only event that was a challenge. i knew the log was heavier when i went to one motion it and missed jerked it and called it good, went on to axle easy press at this point i was just taking my time and having fun missed the db on the first shot as it was weird to clean nailed it on the second i think i took 3rd here and i wasnt really getting after it so i was happy and only 4 guys finished it which was nice to see because you got to see who the strong guys were. again pete didnt want to allow warmups here either

flip medley heres where my day went to hell. went from 800 tire and piss poor finger to 600 tire and piss poor finger. a 600 tire is a slap in the face i feel gay for having even touched it. womens nats has a heavier tire than this. the finger was made of 2 pieces one being a pipe and the second being square tubing going from round to square is bad the base on this thing was $h!t and it moved on everybody. well it moved alittle more for me and those wonderful spotters did such a great job catching it that i only ended up with a separated ac joint and severe sprain a torn ab and my hip was about 2 inches out of place. good spotting even better equipment

i pulled out of stones but i wish i would have skipped the flip medley because i could have loaded all of those stones even though one of them had a giant chunk missing out of it.guess we will never know.

this was without a doubt a joke and huge slap in the face to the guys that trained there asses off a didnt do well because it turned from strongman to speed man.

all i really wanted was a good contest with a challenge and i didnt get that i wasted 400$ and my weekend to do a BS show and ended hurt.

I am done with trying to get a LW pro card it doesnt mean anything more and i can get a better challenege and know its going to be good show by doing HW shows as a LW with promoters that care about the athletes. pete and matt talked **** to the crowd about light weights and no one there seamed to give a damn about the athletes.

team big sac, the north bay crew(big chris, ricky, rob and jon) anything from my boys in AZ, Tom Kaufman donnie rhoades jay hagadorn and afew other can count on me being at there shows because they out on quality shows and i wont settle for anything less than that.

Sorry to hear that the comp sucked. It especially sucks you got injured on fubar equipment & bad spotting. BUt you were strong & ready for more, even with the rug pulled out from under you, you had a decent showing.

you can't ****ing stop the bulldozer. beat to hell and i went out there and got after it

740 yoke walks for 50ft trips 2 of which were beltless
leg press 1000 3x20 1x30 damn that sucked no more leg press these hurt my knees
ssb zercher GM up to 3 plates x12 switched bars and used a reverse hyper strap like a zercher harness
315 3x5 1x10 damn these are hard they make you force speed in the lockout
did some seated rows very light due to the shulder.

i did a ton of other **** to see what hurts and what doesn't.
bunch of frame picks with like 300 kinda hurt
a few tire flips with 800 tire no pain but i was only going 70% to avoid pain.

definetly not a puss boy

after speaking with several inteligent people (unlike myself) i have learned some interesting things about my hip injury. basicly i need to strengthen my inner thighs and strech my hip flexors as well as bring my squat stance in and avoid most carrying events for a while. it was alos determend that something in my make up responds to quad work and being forward. that is was my power is not there when i am back behind the bar in a deadlift or when i sit far back on a squat. I also did some research and decided to make some adjustments to my training(just seams smart)

tuesday

ssb front squat
platex10
200x3
245x3
295x3
315 3x6

Speed pulls against 180lbs of chain
155 2x2
205 2x2
255 2x2
305 2x2
355 2x2

db shoulder press
30x15
35x15
40x15
45x15
50x15

pulldowns/seated 1 arm row/laterals/db curls/extentions
3x15 each

other than the front squats nothing was really heavy today since the shooulder still hurts
