What up gents?   Been a while now. Long story short....As some of you remember I went in for shoulder surgery back  in Feb 2009. I had a scope done as well as a procedure called Open Mumfford

Part of my clavicle was shaved off as well as spurs that were digging into the rotator cuff.

At first I did lots of rehab moves and I made a rehab bar. Slowly added up weight. Then started to use the regular bar. Got an ok to lift from the doc but to go light, I recently allowed my ego to take over and did 225x5 and 315x1.I told the doc about the 225x5 but not the 315x1... I dont think I will be going in that direction for a while for it was a bit painful. I have also sq 520x1 but had to stop because of the shoulder discomfort. So as you can see I was doing well and was a bad boy a couple of times. Overall, things are going good as planned.

My foundation is established and built on a Westside/metal militia fashion. I will be exploring into the Reactive method. Back towards the end of Dec 2008 Mike was nice enough to walk me thru the basics but to be honest it is all unclear to me still but I will be jumping in both feet and gain some experience with the system. I will be going very light and really paying attention to form and technique.

I have been stealth an reading lots of the logs. You guys keep getting strong and Mike has taken this to another level. Mike is one of the nicest guys in PL. There are many nice guys out there in PL and Mike is one of the ones that share and educate. I am just amaze at his videos with all that raw strength and power. I want some of that J

AnywayI am back, slow and weak but I am back

Good to see you back, BLG aka Nico. Glad that you're surgery was a success, and that rehab is moving along. I know how frustrating rehab training can be, just remember: it will work, you will be back moving big weight, and you're going to come through this stronger than ever before.

Sunday 5.17.09

today I decided to use my formidable and usually victorious rival the SSB AKA BIG EVIL. This bar always kicks my ass and I hate it and it hates me back.I think it has been closed to over a year since I last used it. After some consideration based on some conversations I had  I decided to wear briefs for all my SQ/DL. So I decided to use some old  single ply briefs. After wearing them for 5 min I remember why I really never used them:NO SUPPORT whatsoever. They are too short at the waist so the belt does not hold them well plus no support on the hips. I don't think I will ever buy form this particular guy since his briefs suck plus the customer service was very bad (and this happened like 4 years ago)
Anyway, my SSB is old style so it has the short handles (my excuse for my weakness)

bar is 65lbs but will be counted as 45lbs
low box
135x5
225x3
315x3
405x1 ???? kicked my ass
405x3 held on to rack with 2 fingers. I gues it gave me enough support to come out the hole
405x1 no holding. No holding allowed unless to save my ass

SSB AKA BIG EVIL GM no belt
I think my low back is very weak right now so time to make it strong.
Starting very light as BIG EVIL throws me off
barx15
95x15
115x12
115x12
I know....light !@#$

RH+ankle wights 4x12
Ankle weight leg curls 100 reps (easier said than done)
Abs 3x12
