Wednesday
Nothing. Caught up on work

Thursday
My wife and I were off together (rare), so I bumped the workout.

Friday (5:00 AM) BDB
Shirt Bench (#2)- 75-85%, 16-18 NL
545x3 @8
585x2 @8.5
620x3 @10
620x3 @9 didnt try as hard to touch
855x2 @9
545x3 @8.5 (44m)

Deadlift +90c- 85-95%, 6-7 NL
645x1 @8
685x1 @9 not tight enough
725x miss. No arch (19m)

Skipped inclines. Ran out of time.

Total Training Time: 101min

This session wasnt very good. Maybe being off a day affected me more than I thought. The benches werent anything impressive and they were almost pretty bad. The groove wasnt as fresh as it could have been, but another part of it is my shirt is just slightly too big.
The Deadlift work was disappointing. I think the early morning affected this one significantly. I couldnt get focused and I just wasnt tight enough on the setup. Any way you cut it, this was a fiasco. Also, my SI joints werent feeling great. I managed to not injure them, but Im dropping the box squat work. I do think they are too hard on my back at least for a while longer.

Saturday SBD
Squat +90c- 85-95%, 6-7 NL
605x1 @9
635x1 @9 stance a little too wide
655x1 @9
625x1 @9
605x1x2 @9 (41m)

Bench (pinky on ring) +90c- 85-95%, 6-7 NL
415x1 @8.5
445x1 @9
465x1 @9
445x1 10
415x1x2 @8.5 (27m)

Strict SLDL to floor
425x5 @8
455x5 @8.5
485x5 @8
515x5x2 @9 (20m)

Total Training Time: 125min

The squats werent bad for this being the first week Ive done them since the spring. Either way, my knees come forward so much that it gives me a myriad of problems. My knees to go forward until the last couple of inches of the descent. Also, suits and knee wraps seem to improve the condition along with Olympic shoes. Im wondering if its not an issue of my calves and hamstrings being too tight. I dont know. Im going to play more with the oly shoes next macro.
The bench work was okay. I hit a PR on this movement (finally). I still lacked a lot of focus today.
The SLDL work was much better than it has been in the past. Maybe this will finally be something that develops my hamstrings.

Weekly Analysis
This was a discombobulated, mediocre week. It was stretched out over too many days (which is probably one reason nothing felt right later in the week). I cut out way too much bench work. I need to get my stiff together here and start EXECUTING workouts instead of just going through them. Conquering them instead of surviving them. Theres too much going for me right now to let this dwindle into mediocrity.

I'm not really feeling "down" about myself. I'm slightly agitated and can't wait for Monday. Maybe this week was the kick in the pants I needed, because I can't remember the last time I couldn't wait for a training session.

BTW, was trying to include my youtube vids on my posts, but cannot seem to figure out how to do it. Am I just missing something simple I'm not doing?

You have to use the "advanced editor". There's a button that says "YouTube" on it. There should be a box that pops up where you paste the URL.

Wow! What a redeeming training session! This is what I was talking about last week I need to dominate the workouts not just survive them. Just FYI, hitting 900x2 @9 equals an estimated 1RM of 1000 pounds. The IPF world record is Kirks 1003 that has been standing since I dont know but a while!
Despite burning a lot of energy on squats, raw benches went really well too. Im working on breaking some bad habits, but Im doing it in such a way that my ego can take it  smile.
I even set a pretty massive PR in the 3Board work today. Now I need to spend some time on restoration so Im good to go for tomorrow!

How did you work that out?
The only calculators I have seen are for people who squat under 500

Dude the depth on these looked good (at least the 2nd one).  Holy crap 900x2@9 almost crapped myself watching that. Great work.  Oh by the way you need to hear about how barry got in trouble this weekend.  Some guy punched him in the eye randomly, and barry tackled him and started hitting him in the face, apparantly he got in some trouble (even though its not gonna be too bad).

From my RPE chart, I know x2 @9 is about 90%. 900/90% = 1000. That's how I work out my 1RM estimations.

Mike,

Does your gym have to put money aside in the budget for all of the bars you bend? Awesome Work.

Sorry I've been so bad about posting training logs lately. If I don't get to it later today, I'll be sure to get my log caught up tomorrow morning.
