RTS and 5/3/1
Permalink

I know Mike has some kind of lifting thing going on this weekend. LOL! Anyway, good luck with your meet Mike. What I was wondering is if there is a way to aply RTS to Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program? If anyone is familiar with it or has experience with the two programs, I would like your input on how to set it up.
Thanks

I'm only familiar with the very basics of 5/3/1, but incorporating RTS is as simple as learning the tools of RTS and applying them in whatever manner you see fit. Without knowing specifics, it would be hard for me to give specifics, you know what I mean?

it would be pointless to do the 5/3/1/ system looks like this

week 1
3x5
week2
3x3
week 3
1x5 1x3 1x1 if its easy do as many reps as possible.
week4
deload
start over on week 5

the template is where it wont work

you do your main lift then you do what they call boring but big
3x15 on an assistance lift then you are done
