You had an all you can eat and you didnt even finish all of the food!!?? Unbelievable. Next time you do it, weigh yourself before and after your meal. The guys who gains the most wins. When my training partner and myself have eatoffs, we generally add 7-8 pounds in that meal. Haha you can bench 500 and you cant even eat a pizza... Brady Brady Brady. You should be ashamed of yourself for wasting.. all of those starving people out there...
Brady - You're in the big leagues, eating with Shane and Scott....
I just wanted to thank you for you help Saturday (wonderful having great handlers) and for setting up my new program these past months. It was unreal having a third attempt feel that light. I think you've discovered how to peak on the RTS program and it brings all the training together. Again, THANKS MY MAN!!!
I'm pumped as you get ready for Worlds. I see some monster attempts coming out of you. Anything I can, just let me know. You've helped your friends and others immeasurably through your committment and passion for the iron game - its what its all about.
Dana, you deserved to do well. You worked really hard. Followed a tough training program, stuck it through, and reaped the rewards. I can't wait to help you set up your macrocycle for nationals. It will be fun and interesting to see how things are put together. I have a few ideas that you may or may not want to try, but that is strictly up to you. We'll see. I'll talk to you about them tomorrow.
Helping eachother is what its all about. Really, we are only as good as the team is. Personally, I felt really proud of you and Tim doing so well. Excellent performances and perfect training.
There will be more to come. We can't settle for anything less than the best.
Close Grip 3 Board Press 405 x4 @8 445 x4 @9 480 x5 @10 ...scott helped a tad on the last rep
I am really excited about how the reverse bands came along tonight. That was a huge PR. This reaffirms my estimations of my 1RM on the regular shirted bench between 640 and 660.
Raw Squat - no belt 465 x3 @8.5 520 x5 @10 ...PR! but cut them high
RDLs 275 x5 @6 365 x5 @7 455 x5 @8
The close grip 1 board press is around 510lbs now. Thats quite an improvement and may be stronger than my wide grip 1 board. Really good sign for tricep strength. I have ART tomorrow morning, so I am hoping that it goes very well. I have some soft tissue issues that I need worked out. Overall though, my pec insertions are holding up well and I am functioning at a high level.
The squats were a bit of a let down. I cut them high. I really need to work on this and the only way to do that is to bring my stance in. I need to video my squats for my own peace of mind and to help me evaluate my next move. Maybe I'll start squatting to a box just below parallel. Probably not a bad idea.
WOW. I hit a HUGE PR in the equipped reverse band bench... Bands take off around 155lbs at the chest and 0 lbs at lockout. This puts this exercise at 767lbs. INCREDIBLE. I have a lot to look forward to when I start peaking for Worlds. I am FIRED UP.
