It only takes a few minutes. There's a video in my training log of a Japanese lifter doing it. I basically borrowed his idea. I plan on making an instructional video soon and putting it on YouTube.
If you try it, think about how you'll get the shirt off, too.
I checked out the video and am going to have to try that. I actually gave my shirt to somebody and have been lifting raw lately because I know I won't be able to train with anyone for a long time unless situations change.
When you said needs minimal equipment to get off what sort of equipment are you talking about? I tried putting my old f6 on once by myself but then gave up as soon as I realized I had no idea how I was going to get the thing off. Im looking forward to getting your manual for my birthday in about a month :)
Honestly, the only thing you need to get it off is a J-hook on the bench or rack or whatever. You grab the bottom of the shirt and pull it up just like you were going to take it off. When you get it as high as you can pull it, hook the BACK of the shirt on the J-hook and squat down so the J-hook pulls it toward your head. When you can, reach behind your head and grab the shirt. Pull it off over your head. The rest is easy. I'd suggest having someone (anyone) around while you try it the first time. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
