Assuming the mill I am employed at is stil keeping its head above water, I will do my best to make it. No guarentees. Once a date is established, I will start training as if I am going to lift in it.

Expect to a date to be secured by mid-April, I'm making a proposal at the National AGM on April 1st and should hopefully have a facility secured by a few weeks after that date.

Sounds good man! Just ask them if they will let me wear my panties for squats. I want to hit a pr!

Just got my new squat suit in. Size 44 titan centurion NGX+. Took me 25 minutes to get it on for the first time. I see what tight gear is all about now. The first squat suit I used in a comp gave me a best comp squat of 641 and was loose. I thought it was tight at the time.  My raw squat is much better than when I used to compete and this suit is much more supportive. Maybe I can crack the 700+ mark with this.

Jordan, there is no reason why you can't break 700 in that suit. I think you'll be around 750.

Man If i can squat 750 I would be freakin pumped. If that was the case I am sure I could crack the 2000 total on a good day. 750-500-751

With or without panties?

I'm really interested to see what kind of numbers you'll get from this.  Breaking 700 is hyooge; hitting 750, well, all I can say is "Wow."

Good luck, man.

WITH... or course! Yeah I dont want to get too far ahead of myself. Brady thinks that 750ish can go. I have never had 700 even on my back yet (except for weight+band tension) so until I do it, I can only dream about it. I am going to try it out with some reps tonight. See if i can domy normal thing and blow all of the blood vessels in my ace up!

Volume cycle
Day 5 of 12

Equipped squats: x1@8ish?
First time in a semi tight suit. Unsure about reps and depth and everything else.
Have a bad cold today so I decided to train tonight after work since I will probably be worse off tommorow.

225x3
315x1
405x1@7
wraps
500x1@easy 8
Suit- Straps down
550x1
635x1@No lift. Could not descend properly. More weight needed?
675x1@8 High
725x1@ 8.5 Cut it high.
770 (350kg) x 1 @9.5 Pretty sure depth was there. This is only a little 110 pound gym lift equipped Pr!!!!

Vids
725x1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CfXhooF7DQ Obviously skyhigh
770x1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGECy-FKL28 Better depth. Unsure how much more I need.

The inside of my eye looks like it is bleeding. Pretty bad looking. Haha I will skip deads today and do some rows or something.

Seated maching rows
300 pounds stack x18,15

Reverse band close grip bench: x3@8-9
225x3
315x5
365x3@8
410x3@9
405x3@8.5
405x3@9

Pretty awesome day. I worked 12 hours, travelled 2 hours, missed a meal, have a bad cold and earache, and squatted 770. No complaints coming out of me. I really have to learn to get my form down on equipped. I am not going to be hard on myself after one day, but I HAVE TO stay upright. I need to keep form good to utilize the gear, and the keep from blowing vessels up in my face.

strength looks good with the suit, just takes practice to get it down there with that stiff type of material

Yeah depth is tough for sure. I think the biggest factor though was me not being confident at all. I just have to allow myself to sink fast and get down there, rather than fight it the whole way. Oh well. First time in a suit like that. I have years and years to learn this stuff.

Volume cycle 3
Day 6 of 12

Equipped bench- Goal today is to touch a lighter weight to 1 board than previous lifting session.

225x3@6
275x3@7
315x3@7
Add katana
405x3@7 3 board-all touched. Much better control already compared to last time.
455x1@8 2 board- 20 pounds lighter to touch 2 board than last week.
475x1@8 1 board- No touch.
500x2@9 1 board. Both paused and hit easily.
520x1@9 1 board. Paused, misgrooved bad, and still hit pretty easily. Pr!!
475x1@8 1 board- Touched! That was the goal for today. The 500x2, 520x1 was a bonus.

520x1 video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2a79FCgnfo

Wide grip raw bench:x3@8-9
Going to chest instead of 1 board.

225x3@6
275x3@7
315x3@7
365x3@8
390x3@9 Awesome Pr!
365x6@9 Pr!

Seated DB hammer curls
70's x 7

Equipped- Shirt felt comfortable today and I actually went into a lifting session confident about the lifts. Last time I brought 475x3 to 2 boards and struggled bad to get depth. Today I brought 455 to 2 boards, and got 475 to 1 board at the end of the workout.

Raw widegrip- Every few times I like to eliminate the 1 board and just go to my chest. My chest press was stronger today than my 1 board last week. Pretty hard to argue with those gains.

Volume cycle 3
Day 7 of 12

My back was irritated today before I began. Since the 770 squat the other day, my lower back has been off, and right above me pelvic bone the muscles feel strained. Not the first time this has happened, not the last either. No real point in stressing about it. I found out today it needs some rest so that is the way it is going to have to be.

Equipped deadlifts: Form rather than weight.
225x3 Back felt off
315x3 same
Add belt
405x3- much better. I dont want to use a belt as a bandaid though
500x1
SUIT- Really just focusing on a 100% proper setup
500x1
585x1
675x2@9 2nd rep was paused and setup like the first.
725x1@9
675x1@8

Choked strongband squats:
135x3
225x3
315x3
355x1- Lower back did not like the weight. Called it quits after this rep.

My body needs some rest. I dont think a week or two off of pulling and squatting is going to affect much. It is something I need to do, and It gives me time to put 100% effort into my bench, and time to heal up. Also I am going to stay away from suited squats for a while as well since my eye is still bloody. I was told by the wife-to-be that she didnt want me going to get married next month with my eyes looking like they do. Ha I dont blame her. Deadlifts were cautious today since your body naturally backs off when you know you are injured. 725x1@9 still has me around 750ish, so that is good.

Great Strength...hope you can heal up quickly.

You don't want to go and get married w/ your eyes messed up.  On the Sunday before I got married, I was coaching a peewee hockey clinic.  I was demonstrating how to put a deke on the goalie.  I gave a sweet move to the left, came back to the right, however the goalie never moved (he was a peewee afterall) and I caught my chin on his facemask and split it open.  It was not very fun explaining to my bride to be less than a week before our wedding why my chin was split open.  I skipped the stitches because I have another scar above it from a previous hockey injury that needed stitches and the scar is quite noticable.  So, I just kept ointment on it all week and thankfully it didn't show in the photos.  However, it did scar a few weeks later so we always have a reminder of my pre-wedding mishap.  Don't let that be you!!

Early congrats on the wedding and best wishes.

Thanks! Yeah even If i wanted too, I am sure Lisa would hide my squat suit on me. I could tell she was seeing if my eyes got worse after equipped benching last night. Dont worry though, she is a very supporting fan of powerlifting.... just not for the next few weeks.

Volume cycle 3
Day 8 of 12

Closegrip paused bench: x3@8-9
135x3
185x3
225x3@7
275x3@7
315x3@8
370x3@8.75 Good pr!
355x3@8.5

Closegrip: +MM x3
135x3
225x3@8
275x3@9.25 Pr! Anything under a 10rpe was a Pr.
250x3@8.25
250x3@8.5

DB shoulder press- No back support.
60's x 8
80's x 10@8 Good pr!
90's x 8 @8.5 (4 rep Pr!) Last time was 90x5@10
100's x 5@9.5 Pr!

Side delt raise
40's x 12,10,8

DB SHRUGS
145's x 30 Good burn.

Once again, all pressing excercises got pr's. I felt like i could have paused 410-415 closegrip today.

Lower back still feels very off. Feels strained in the same area and I am positive it is muscular, not spinal.

Next 2.5 days are off. Going to do some hacksquat work and keep the bar off of my back for the next week to heal up. Shouldnt be too bad though. My workout partner does hacksquats religiously and he outsquats me, so it might be for the better...... stupid bodybuilders.
