I had a question about the centurion.  I squat with a stance a little wider than shoulder width so should i go with the regular stance centurion or wide stance?  I was curious to what the difference was between the two and which one i may benefit more in.

Thanks,
Dustin

I squat with a fairly wide stance, but I still use a regular stance suit. Sounds to me like it would work well for you, too. Maybe someone else has experience with the wide stance suit and can help out...

I squat just wider than shoulder width and I have a wide stance suit. In the past I've found that my knees get pushed inwards (when using an old-fashioned centurion) and I think the wide stance suit helps this. If your knees ever collapse inwards when you squat I'd recommend the wide stance suit.

NOTE: I haven't used the regular stance suit, just the old fashioned NX+ centurion and the wide stance NXG Super Plus.

I just got a new Centurion wide-stance suit after my last meet. My old one was regular-stance and I squat very wide so I'll let you know how it compares after my Sunday squat session.

I've noticed the legs on the W/S are looser than the legs on a R/S of the same size. I wore a wide stance suit for awhile, and the legs would always slip up at the bottom of the squat, now I'm in a R/S and don't have that problem and getting more carryover.

I am far away from being a suit master, but I have:
-centurion super NXG+ regular stance
-Metal IPF king V-type (wide stance)
-Superior regular stance.

From what I have learnt, the regular stance suits will pull your knees in if you dont have the suit "seated" properly (pulled up as high as possible into the crotch).

The second thing I have noticed is that the stretch from the groin is much less in a wide stance suit. SO carry over is potentially less in a wide stance suit.
Ultimatly we want the material in the suit to stretch to provide rebound.

Hmmm. Interesting points Dean. I'd noticed point 1 myself, but I hadn't considered that the wide stance suit might be providing less rebound. I might have to see ow I get on with a regular stance suit...
