Root canal sounds like fun!  Are you getting a crown too?  That's what I do for a living is manage a dental lab where we make, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and whatnot.  We'll do the crown for you and I won't charge a whole lot more than our regular price.

Hey Tony.
While they were doing it I did not feel a thing. Then as soon as the freezing went away it hurt like hell. I took about 800 mg of Ibuprofin in one shot, the pain went away, and it hasn't hurt since.

Thanks a million for the offer Tony, that is very nice of you man! I actually have both of my front teeth crowned from when I had them smashed on a hockey net in my youth, so what they did was drill in right underneath the existing crown to get in there.

Contest Prep
Week 3 - Day 4

- Bodyweight 273.4lbs

Paused Shirted Bench (Medium)
- x3 \ 5% \ 8-9
- Supposed to do triples, but by the time I hit my second reps things started to get sloppy so I would stop.
- Had to just run with it and improvised in order to get a good workout.
- Swapped into another shirt for last set and it actually went surprisingly well. I have never bench 510 before yet until today and it really wasnt that difficult considering the work I had done previously
- Considering that swapping shirts seemed to be a groovy thing to do, I might try it if conditions are right at the meet.
405 x3 @7-8 (to a 2 board)
455 x2 @8 (going for a 3rd would have been too sloppy)
475 x1 @9
455 x2 @8
510 x1 @9.5 (I actually switched from my medium A/S to medium S/S for this one)

510x1 @9.5

Time: 31 Min

Deadlift - No Belt
- x3 \ 5% \ 8-9
- Still being Uber careful with my lower back and keeping the volume down
- Had to really avoid trying to pull fast off of the floor, which made for a slow start, but good finishes
- My goal is to hit full volume for squats tomorrow
500 x3 @7
585 x3 @8
625 x3 @9 (PR - yes I know I was slow as molasses off of the floor, but this was a 9 dammit!)

625 x3 @9

Time: 11 Min

Incline (thumb from smooth)
- x6 \ 5% \ 8-9
- This exercise was above average in the way I felt while I was doing it
235 x6 @8
250 x6 @9 (PR)
240 x6 @8.5 (5%)
240 x6 @9.5

Time: 16 Min

Total Training time: 112 Min

Good work! You're doing things right -- nice and controlled work for the back. Glad to hear benching went so well!

Thanks Tony and Mike!
Tony - you sound like the people who are always trying to sell me natural gas fixed rates LOL
"we can give it to you for only slightly more than what you would pay otherwise" LOL

I am going to wear a belt on my squats today and I am planning on getting full volume in.

Feeling good.......

Contest Prep
Week 3 - Day 5

- Morning Bodyweight 274.6lbs
- Although I am not 100% healthy in the lower back today, I am confident that I will be really good for next weekend.
- I am WAY better than I was a week ago at this time. Also last week I was not able to do any lower body on this day.

Squat + Purple - with belt
- x3 \ 5% \ 8-9
- Wore a belt to be on the safe side
- Setting a baseline, as this is the first time I have done this with a belt
- Had to take it slow on the negative, but depth was nice
- Kind of had the bands a bit in front of me, so they were trying to pull me forward, thought I would keep it like that.
405 x3 @7
460 x3 @8
500 x3 @9
475 x3 @8 (5%)
475 x3 @8

Time: 23 Min

Paused Bench (pinky on ring) + 90mm (double Mini)
- x3 \ 5% \ 8-9
- I had a really good bench day yesterday, even on an exercise that I usually do poorly with, so I guess in turn I had to have a poor showing for my pressing today.
275 x3 @8
295 x1 @9 (yowza this is whipping me today)
265 x3 @9

Time: 10 Min

Total Training time: 60 Min

Contest Prep
Week 4 - Day 1

- Weight before bed: 277.6
- Weight on waking: 276.4

- Drank a lot of water before bed and retained it until morning. For some reason I was parched last night.
- Visualized the commands today for each set
- This was a great day on a technical level

Suited Squat (Loose) - With Belt and Loose Wraps
- (70%\75%\80%) x3
- Basing weights off of planned 2nd attempt at meet
- Every rep was good and deep, deepest ever
- Now I have to translate the depth today into my tighter suit
495 x3 @7 (wraps 5 times around)
530 x3 @7 (wraps 5 times around)
565 x3 @8 (wraps 6 times around)

Time: 17 Min

Paused Shirted Bench (Loose)
- (70%\75%\80%) x3
- Basing weights off of planned 2nd attempt at meet
- Did not touch my first work set, but touched no problem on all others
- This was really good today
355 x3 @7 (no touch)
380 x3 @7 (all touched)
405 x3 @8 (all touched)

Time: 11 Min

Suited Deadlift (Loose) - With Belt
- (70%\75%\80%) x3
- Basing weights off of planned 2nd attempt at meet
- Lower back still a bit stiff from Fridays squats against bands
- Probably will cut out all deadlifting for the rest of the meet except for warm ups
495 x3 @7
535 x1 @7 (thought I would spare the back and just do 1 rep)
570 x3 @8 (tightened the belt on this as an experiment)

Time: 10 Min

Total Training time: 101 Min

Looks like you got it locked in for the meet.

Where is your meet and is it this coming weekend?

Good luck to you!

Will the results say TRON?

Hey Tony

Actually I think I am ready to go!! Thanks allot man!

The meet is on Saturday and is in my home town of Ottawa.

I am going to do my best to have the meet results say "Chris TRON Yantha"

TRONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

Actually Rush opened for Cher in the early 70's.  You see their fondness for her song "Half Breed" was the inspiration for "Tom Sawyer" which was actually a tribute to Injun Joe.  So everytime you hear Tom Sawyer you should think of Cher.  It all comes full circle.

Thank you very much Bob, it is very much appreciated!

You know now that you mention it Tony, Geddy Lee and Cher look like they could actually be the same person....hmmmmmm....
