Awesome Job, Tronster! Cool thing about your performance is that you went in to the comp with a messed back, and only went 4 for 9 AND STILL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR OLD PR by 22.5kg! This goes to show how much stronger you are now than previous. Like Mike said- get that back healed up, go 7 for 9, or better and you will make you PR performance from today look small. Congrats again!
Thanks allot to Mike T for the great training! It sure is nice to have someone who really knows what they are doing (especially compared to myself LOL) to do your programming for you !!

Way to go Chris!! Nothing wrong w/ some prs. I hope you get healed up and then elite would be no prob.
btw- I love hearing the woman on the video (your wife? girlfriend? escort?) say "come on...light weight this is easy" or something to that effect. That always cracks me up hearing people say that at meets. It's like if it's so light...why don't you come here and give it a rip. However, encouragement is always great!
Funny you should mention it, but my wife, girlfriend, AND escort were all there cheering me on at the same time! SHAZZZZAAAAAMMMMMMM!
When I hear "Light Weight" it always reminds me of the crazy Ronnie Coleman video where he is usually lifting something rediculous shouting "Light Weight"
- First time doing any sort of exercise in 8 days. - Ate a bunch of junk food last night, and drank most of a giant tub of Wine with a screw cap that was aged in the back of a truck, so therefore feeling kind of gross today. - Very thankful there were no lower body movements today
Paused Shirted Bench (Loose) - x4 \ 3% \ 8-9 - Feeling a bit rusty, but got better as I progressed - Not great but not bad either - Could touch everything today - Ended up sliding down the bench a lot today, making the last rep a bit screwy on each set 400 x4 @8 415 x4 @9.5 (could have rated this a 9, but going to play conservative) 405 x4 @10
- Lower back felt terrible coming into this (even impacted my sleep the night before), but felt much better coming out - Sweated a lot today, and sucked a lot of wind towards the end - Procrastinated a lot between exercises today - Really liked the training today
Suited Squat (Loose) - With Belt - No Wraps - x4 \ 3% \ 8-9 - Worked a lot on speed today - Lower back pretty sore through whole exercise 545 x4 @8 565 x4 @9 (had to tighten belt for this one) 550 x4 @8.5 (3%) (this was the best set)
Time: 13 Min
3ct Pause DL (no Belt) - x4 \ 3% \ 8-9 - New exercise, setting a baseline today - Did my pause around an inch or so after I cracked the floor - Really like this exercise - This exercise left me winded after each set - This actually felt very therapeutic for lower back 425 x4 @8 445 x4 @8 465 x4 @9 450 x4 @9 (3%)
Time: 14 Min
Manta Ray Olympic Squat - No Belt - x6 \ 3% \ 8-9 - This was not terribly easy at this point but it was good 350 x6 @8 365 x6 @9 355 x6 @10 (3%)
Are you doing those sort of Like Mike T does Isomio deads? From how I understand your writeup in your log, you lift the weight an inch off of the ground and just hold for for three seconds than finish the lift? If so that sounds hard.
Right that is exactly how I am doing them. I get Mike T to program my training for me, and he has perscribed these for me.
My pause times today have ranged from a 3-count to a three second hold.
I find the most fatiguing part of the lift is the actual hold itself, then because the weight is so light relative to a regular deadlift, it is not bad completing the lift.
