Yah its hard on the ego and people tend to frown upon it, even if its neccesary in Provinces with the "must attend Provincals" rule. In Alberta we ammended the rule to include Westerns, which gives lifters another chance to qualify.

Not a huge loss though, you'll be ready for 2010 Nationals which will likely be back in Ontario...not many are making the trip to Moose Jaw.

Back in Ontario - Man that is lucky for me!

Not for sure yet, I'll let you know after the AGM...no one's bid for it yet, which is unusual.

Test Day

Morning weight: 274.6
Had no trouble making weight.
I have lost a bit more than 40 lbs of bodyweight since 2006\2007, and still carry a lot of extra abdominal fat. Going to cut down on my Saturday night alcohol consumption and leave it to one night a month in attempt to help get leaner.

Squat (Titan Centurion)
- This was a great day for squat, but also exposed a lot of problems. I really need to get past the parallel\just breaking thing and learn to dunk these in a suit.
- I really have a hard time in a suit and always have. I need to really hammer the technique some how.
- Squat was promising though in the fact that the most I have ever tried to squat before today was 660 lbs.
- Ended up wearing my medium suit as I had never tried my tight suit ever yet and today is not the time. If I tighten the straps on the medium suit it will be perfect meet suit.
- Warm Ups (Raw): 135x3, 225x2, 315x2, 405x2
- Warm Ups (add suit and belt): 495x1, 585x1, 635x1 (add loose wraps)

675 x1 (Loose wraps, High)
705 x1 (seemed solid)
725 x1 (something really weird happened on the way up and my body was really shaking\bouncing right about half way. Completed the squat but it was messed up)

Bench (Titan Katana)
- Ended up trying a tighter shirt than I have worn and it really kind of messed me over. Even so, I did beat my previous meet PB of 490 lbs by 10 lbs and I did the previous while weighing 40 lbs heavier.
- I need to practice in this particular shirt more often as it was quite a shock to put on and use.
- Warm Ups (Raw): 135x3, 225x2, 315x1
- Shirt + Boards: 405 x1 (could not even touch a 2 board), 455 x1 (to 2 board)

500 x1 (it would have been much easier to do this in a looser shirt, really relaxed to touch)
520 x0 (missed it in last quarter of lift. If I drifted it toward my face a bit I may have had a better chance, as I tend to press straight up and down.)
520 x0 (same as before)

Deadlift (Inzer Max DL)
- Did not want to take a chance by trying any of my crazy Metal Suits yet so stuck to the good old reliable Max DL
- Warm Ups (Full Equipped): 315x1, 405x1, 495x1, 600x1

705 x1 (Really slow for first 6 inches of pull then no problem. Had nothing left after this.)
