Hey everyone, gonna start posting workouts here.  Been adding pieces of the RTS program and having some good results.  Been competing for a few years now. I lift USAPL at 198, here are some stats:

5'7
202lbs

Meet bests :(Oct 08)
640 squat
445 bench
630 dead

1715 total

Gym bests:
690 squat (trx), 555 belt only

My best deads are in meets, i think in the gym i did 590x4 with a hardcore.

Anyway ill start with some old posts and get to the current workouts.

ok day of benching. shirt was pretty tight and first time taking something to the chest in it, i will prob do some 1 board stuff in the future to practice in it more. 475 moved pretty good on both sets though. closegrip stuff felt strong, hit a little more volume on that today. DJ looked strong doing 350 2x8 making up for last time around and Joe did 350 easily and just missed with 375.

nautalis ab crunch
170 3x10

tried new deadlift form in the suit today. Pulled in the 35 and grabbed the bar stiff leg and pulled myself down and in. Ive tried this before and this was the first time it felt halfway decent. my belt is a little stiffer than djs so it prob would have felt even better if i could have used his. started losing the grip a little on the 585 but felt i had another 1-2 reps left in me. 610 was a little harder than i expected, was hoping to do a double. I think my off the floor power and speed has improved and now my lockout kinda sucks. not a bad day overall though.

this wraps up the post meet cycle. felt pretty strong throughout, set a couple of prs on the bench. gonna tweak the program a little, add pause squats back in and well as some band work. bench will prob stay the same with just an extra week for shirt work, and deads will be more of the same. Shooting for a 1740- 1750 total in march, and with a few adjustments its defintely possible. For now a week of rest though.

Awesome lifting. Any reason you bench thumbless sometimes?

thanks bro.  on sundays ill do more thumbless work to hit the tris a little more, i feel a difference between thumbless and regular grip. i really focus on keeping the elbows in and just pushing with my arms.  hopefully i can get a decent bench one of these days.

good amount of volume tonight. band squats all felt strong, thanks to DJ and Joe for making me go a little heavier, turned out to be worth it. everything felt strong tonight. used the do-win olympic shoes and felt very stable and form was good on all sets. DJ hit some real nice band pauses in addition to straps down work and Joe did great as well. all around good night of lifting.
