Reverse band question

I am using reverse bands for deadlift and bench.  My question is when should the band no longer assist you in the lift??  To help clarify my question...should there be any tension on the bands when you are locked out on a bench press?   When should there be no band tension on deadlifts? Above knee level??

Thanks

I don't know as much as the rest of the guys on here, but when I would do deadlifts with reverse band I would have the bands go dead after the first 6 inches rather than just before lockout. That was you know that you have to be fast and effective to outrun the momentum that you momentarily get. As for bench I have no clue.

And the answer is...well, uh, you have to answer the question.  Where the band tension lets off totally depends on your goals and weaknesses.

I like reverse band work to duplicate gear work so I want band tension to die out just about where my gear gives me the least support.

The above fact is what is so cool about band work. You have so many options.

Decide where you need to improve (not what someone else tells you) and go from there.
