Congrats to Team RTS and the other recent competitors from the board!
There were a lot of contests recently and all in all, we fared pretty well:
Chad McMullin smoked a 35# PR that was only about a month old (Benched 535). This was a big deal for him, too!
Tony Reid was disappointed, but when you look at it, he tied his PR total and left at least 35# on the platform. The man is getting much stronger and once his bench gets ironed out... who's gonna stop him?
Binford finally got that 600# deadlift he's been chasing.
Tony Parrella placed top 5 at a tough USAPL National meet -- his first ever. If you've never been to USAPL Nationals, the pace of the meet is very fast and it can be tough to do well, especially if you're not used to it. Tony didn't do what he wanted, but still did pretty awesome for a first ever national meet.
Brady Stewart went to IPF Bench Worlds (his first ever world meet) in Luxembourg. Brady hit his first two benches and went for the win on his 3rd (which was totally within his reach), but just barely didn't make the lift. The class at Worlds was so tight that his 2nd bench got him 6th place. But put that in perspective... 6th place at IPF bench WORLDS! As a first-time international competitor! That's very impressive
Mark Robinson did a Raw meet a short time ago and hit a 44# PR total. Not only that, he's competing again next weekend and where he seeks to pick up another PR total. Good luck, Mark!
BobW had a strongman contest last weekend where he placed 2nd in the Master's Heavyweight. I believe this was his 2nd contest as well. He had a really good showing -- really turning heads in a few of the events, too. That's quite an achievement when you figure the injuries he overcame in training for this one.
Eric Talmant had his first single ply contest in a long time just a few weeks ago. He worked really hard for it (as Eric always does) and, even though it was only a minor contest for him, he put up some rather impressive numbers and really got things dialed in for his next one in only a few weeks.
And if I missed anybody, I appologize. You guys are putting in some really hard work, but more than that, smart work. And it's paying off! Keep it up, guys!
