Haha that is funny. Well i told my training partner that once I pause it, wait a second or until it is clear that the bar is dead and then give me the press command. Ha i thought when I was paused that it was there for freakin ever. Oh well. Better to have a long pause than an insufficent pause I guess.

Thanks Tony.

Taking today off of training and doing the workout tommorow instead. I am supposed to deadlift today, and press tommorow, but I will deadlift tommorow and do rehab work, streching and icing for my chest today instead. Plus I heard drinking a lot of wine and vodka helps strength gains too. I will use some strength gain beverages today as well.

I did some light smith machine squats today too justto work on hip flexibility. Here is the vid.

I also Did some resistance band work for fun!!!

Vodka is a key element to any serious strength atheletes recovery protocol.

1.)  Place 750 ml of a nice Potato Vodka (I recommend Luksosowa) in the freezer for several hours. Potato vodka is superior to grain vodka's in my opinion.

2.) Fill a nice class with ice, then fill the glass with vodka

3.) Drink

4.) Repeat steps 2 + 3

- Your digestive system is key to nutrient absorbtion and the health of your immune system. This vodka will probably kill any foreign bacteria and parasites in your stomach leading to fantastic recovery and gains. For instance, say you have a tapeworm. If you do not end up killing it, it is still going to be really messed up.

Yo Tron,
I just think i messed up the tapeworm. It must still be alive since I am eating enough for a family of 5 but not gaining any weight. I would blame it on hollow legs but my legs could barely hold the volume of a sandwich...

Intensity cycle
Day 3 and 4 combined.

Equipped deadlifts. Some what heavy. Today was based on form work.
315x2
405x2
500x5
Suit
500x1
585x1
675x1@8
725x1@8.75 RPE PR!
674x1@8

Skwaaaats: x1@9-10
135x3
225x3
315x3
405x1
Belt
500x1
wraps
550x1@8
600x1@9.25 15 pound Pr!
625x1@9.75 40 Pound Pr!

Shoulder press:
60'sx5
80'sx5
100's x 15@9

Pretty awesome today. Havent been able to put any weight on my back for a good while since I tweaked myself and I came back with a 40 pound pr on b+w squats. Maybe the hacksquat and legrpress did more for me than I thought, or maybe the rest is what did it. Definately felt alot of quad power compared to normal.

I took the day off of pressing and did rehab crap today.
Hot shower, stretching, icing, massaging and got Lisa to use a rolling pin to massage my pec/armpit. That worked extremely well. Felt like I needed something solid to loosen the problem. I am going to do the bench/deadlift comp at my local gym for fun on the 4th so It would be nice to have my chest up to par to see whatI can do.

Sumo pulls
135x3
225x3
315x3
405x2
495x1
550x1
600x1-All easy.

Squats- For form, not weight.
+B/W'S

135x3
225x3
315x3
405x2 Focussed on pushing floor apart like Bob suggested. Worked perfectly. Camera died, but workout partner said my form has never looked better and my knees pushed out the whole rep.
500x1-Knees out perfectly
550x1- Knees out perfectly!

DB shoulder press: x10
40's x 10
60's x 10
80's x 10
110's x 10@8.5 Pr!

Went nice and light on everything today since I am going to do the gyms annual bench and deadlift comp for fun on Saturday. Lots of people go so it is a pretty entertaining day. Some awesome lifters show up too.

I think I finally got my squats figured out after one session. "Pushing the floor apart" causes you to stay more upright and seems to gfive you some awesome power out of the hole pushing outwards and up. I would be confident I could have squatted a Pr today.

A lifter that comes into my gym started lifting again. He is 5'5, 160 pounds and is the strongest guy for his weight I have ever seen. I am going to try to get him lifting seriously. He goes like once every three weeks and the weights he liffts are mind blowing.

160 pounds
640 raw deadlift- Belt only. 4x bodyweight.
500x4 belt only deep squats
315x4 bench 350x1 Said his best ever is 400 paused. He said he did it years back and has a video of it.

This guy is like a 9x+ bw lifter raw and never goes for more than a few days per month. I ask him how much he eats and he says he drinks a coffee every hour or so and smokes a lot.. LOL.

Intensity block.
Annual gym bench and deadlift meet today.

I finally got a camera that records in HD so it isnt such a pain in the ass to view.

Bench Raw-

1st  405- Easy
2nd 435- Good! 15 pound Pr! Also much better form than my previous 420 Pr.
3rd  Skipped. Chest issues. Armpits felt unstable. Not going to risk it. Had 440 in me.

Deadlift
1st  700- eaaaasy
2nd 750- pretty easy
3rd  800- Missed. Poor setup. As you can see from the vid I setup, went to apply pressure, stopped, readjusted then went to pull again. Got it going but I screwed myself from the start. Very confident I can get this!

Pretty fun day today!  405 opener

430 pound second attempt.

Deadlift opener- 700

Deadlift 2nd-750 pounds

Deadlift 3rd- 800 miss

Wow! Very nicely done! I think given the right setup, 800 would have been very close -- probably there!

(I guess I need to get my butt back to pulling...)

Thanks Mike!
The first time I went for 750 I got it about half a foot off of the ground. The next time I got it easy. I am hoping to same applies for the 800. I agree though, that was an absolutely terrible setup. Even watching the three deadlift vids, the 800 was bad. I guess I will keep grinding away until it is there. Still on my warpath to be the only CPU/IPF lifter to be in the 800 pound deadlift club.
