Good good day today. Some of my pressing power is finally getting off of holidays from Jamaica. Everything on me is sore today so to have a good strength day is a bonus. The 405 had about a 1-2 sec paused and I think adding a grain of rice to the bar would have made me miss the lift.

When I want to see a log full of PR's, this is the one to read.

Great work, Jordan.

Thanks Bob! Lets just hope it can stay that way.

Equipped squats
225x3
315x3
405x2
Suit
Straps down
500x1
585x1 Only about 14 inches too high.
635x1 Half rep.
700x1@8 High still
725x1@8.5 Few inches high

-set up milk crate with a plate on it to hit depth below parellel.

725x0 could not get to crate
675x0 Pulled legs up really high and got to within 2". Having a hell of a time make anything remotely close to depth today.

Zercher squats (1st time ever)
135x5
225x4
315x4@7
405x1@easy 8
425x1---- My belt held my shorts in place, and my legs were sweating so they grabbed my legs. When I went to the bottom of this rep, my shorts litterally ripped from the zipper, all of the way to my back. I didnt think it was humanly possible to do this. Best part of this was that a lot of people have never seen zerchers so they were seeing what I was up too. Called it there for obvious reasons. Oh, easy rep though.

Squats- I am not too sure if my suit is too tight, or if it is just the lack of training experience in it but I can not squat whatsoever in it. Someone can put 1,000,000 dollars on the floor and tell me to squat 725 deep and it would not happen. Even with the legs pulled up. I watched vids of Jaraslaw olech and many, many others descending fast and I can try to let myself free fall so to speak, and i descent ultra slow. Any tips on how to figure this out would be great.

Equipped bench

275x2
315x1
Shirt
405x1
455x1
500xM Could not lift it off myself for some reason. Obviously I was in a poor position.
500x1@10 Barrrely got it out of the rack, and the time I even started the rep I was bagged. Insane how much effort it takes to liftoff yourself if it is not done right.
455x1

Raw bench
275x1
315x1
365x1@8 Feeling weak in my outer chest. Tight as well
315x10

Incline DB fly. (To stretch)
80 x 6
60x6

Pushups
BW X 55

Basically I had the workout that Tron had the other day. Not even going to watse my energy writing on it. Instead I am going to bring out my wife for steak and ****tails. It is fight night you know!

Intensity cycle 3
Day 8 of 8
Decided to go back to volume next week. Body is feeling run down.

Closegrip paused.
225x3
275x3
315x1@7
365x1@easy 8
410xM Everything flattened out on lift off. The way 365 felt, I thought I would have made another jump after the 410.
315x7@8
315x4@8 3 second pauses- Full 3's feel like forever.
225x18 touch and go.

RAW deads.
225x3
315x2
315x2
405x2
500x1@7
585x1@7
675x2@9.5 Pr!

Hook grip training on lighter deads
500x1 OUCH!!
405x1
315x1
Then i decided to see what i could pull ONE HANDED with my new hook grip
135x1
225x1
315x1! Wow. Didnt expect that. Lots of strain on the forearms.

Front squats- Bodybuilder style. Crossed arms, narrow stance. ATG!
135x3
225x3
315x3
365x1
420x1@9.5 15 pound Pr! Holy broken collar bones batman!

Barbell beltless pushpress
135x3
185x3
225x1
280x1 Pr!
225x5 Pr!

DB shoulder press
100's x 11@9

I went in for O.T. yesterday so had to combine two workouts in one today. I went at a surprising speed for the amount I had to do and finished in under 90 minutes. I skipped CG paused with MM but did one set of touch and go with 225 instead. I had steaks to BBQ so there wasnt much time to waste at the gym. Great workout considering! Lots of PR'S.

Equipped squats

225x3
315x3
405x1
500x1@7
Add suit.
635x1@8 HIGH
700x1@8 few inches too high
807x1@9.5 Still high! This will be a CDN record by 1 pounds if I can find a way to get depth. Weight wasnt really an issue on it.
675x1@8

Beltess deads on doubled 45's
This was to set a hook grip PR, not to worry about weight.
135x2
225x2
315x2
405x2
500x1 Pain was@10 for this one. Slowly making progress with this grip.

Lats
Biceps
Abs
Stretching.

Squats- A little frustrating today. Got better depth today than last week (so you will then understand how high my previous squats were!) but I could not even hit parallel. This suit is not overly tight, but it seems to bind up at the bottom. I put this suit on in like 15 seconds. ANY SUGGESTIONS would be great to fix this issue. There is no way I can even consider competing with a squat that is that poor. On a positive note I am getting stronger and feel like I can hit more than 807. Deeper I go the better the rep flies, now I just gotta find a way to bury it!

700x1 Video

807x1 Video

I showed this vid to a NAT record holder in the 110 squat, and he said my issue was wearing a flat soled show, rather than wearing a shoe with a 1" heel. I would have never thought to change shoes. Guess I better give it a try since it makes sense to keep me more upright.

the olympic shoes will prob help with depth a little. Try and push your knees out harder as you squat. your doin a good job of sitting back but opening your knees up will help the binding up feeling in the bottom. remember to arch hard and squeeze the **** out of your shoulder blades. the weight dosent look like an issue at all and a lot of gear is just practice. Take some lighter weights and try some triples but keeping your form as perfect as possible. Looks real strong dude with some practice that record is yours.

Thanks Tron, and Tony. Yeah I have to work with lighter weights to get my depth dialed in for sure. I paused my 700 video, and my 807 video at the bottom of the rep and the depth was identical. Only difference is that I leaned forward to try to really drive that 807 down with no luck at the bottom of the rep. Oh well. I will try jamming a 10 pound plate like Mike suggested and video it, than make up my mind on where to go  from there.

Volume block
Day 2 of 12

Raw bench
135x5x5 Hard to warm up. Just got off of nightshift- SLEEPY!
185x3
225x3
275x3@6
315x3@7
365x4@9 Was hoping for 365x3@9 so that was good.
315x8@8
315x5@8.5 Fatigued hard on last set.

Pec deck fly
Stack x 7,5,5

Pushups
BW X 35

DB seated hammer curls
60's x 16,10

Bicep machine
Stack x 5
1/2 stack x 17,10

Done 63 minutes.

Bench is finally crawling back. 1RM should be 420ish, so still aways to go, but it is moving in the right way. Could of had a better day as well If I never had to work another nightshift again. You have to work nightshifts to understand what I mean. The next day you are a zombie.

Today was sort of a bodybuilder workout, but I had such a hell of a time last equipped bench day that I wont go solo again for a while. Sundays are dead in the gym and the only person in the facility was a 15 year old female employee that made the apple she was eating look heavy. I will pass on that spotter today!

Volume block
Day 3 of 12

BW Wide grip P/U'S
12,12,12,12,2
Just to show Andrew that us fat guys can do 50 reps too.

Decided to keep everything really, really light today and work on form. I chose this because I woke up with my back feeling mildly out. This has happened about 5000 times and takes a good day or two before I can pop it back in. I used to have to see a chiropractor but I learned to do it myself after spending a lot.

Deadlifts
225x3
315x3
405x3
500x12@easy 8

T-Bar row
1 plate x 5
2 plates x 5
3 plates x 5
4 plates x 5
5 plates x 5
6 plates x 3@10

Seated DB shurugs
145's x 28@10

Squats for form, not weight.
Today was strictly about getting my reps down. I focused on pushing out the knees, and used a 10 pound plate under each foot to imitate 1" heeled shoes to see if they are worth purchasing. They certainly are!

135x5
225x5
315x3
405x1 Old training partner said this was 4" below my normal depth. Felt insanely deep. Maybe even too much so!
405x1- same
405x1- same

Add wraps to see if this changes form
455x1 super deep
500x1 bottomed out.

Leg extensions
stack x 8

I am going to take a front and side view of my old squat style, and the same with my new style next day and post them. It is very important that I get this right, and soon before I start doing heavy equipped squats again. I am going to stay away from heavy equipped lifts and focus on sinking lighter opening style weights. No reason I should not be able to get 700 down and deep.
